Why we exist
Price a group honestly, keep it small, and pay the scholar what the work is worth.
Umrah has quietly become something fewer families can plan around. Flights, hotels minutes from the Haram, and a guide who actually knows the rites, put together honestly and without markup dressed up as convenience, cost more than most trip budgets allow. So people wait, or they go with whoever is cheapest and hope for the best.
At the same time, the scholars who make these journeys meaningful, who teach the fiqh of the rites, answer questions at odd hours and stay present the whole trip, are often paid as an afterthought, if they are paid a fair rate at all. We think both problems share one fix.

I started Qafilah after leading Umrah groups the way most trips don’t: staying with the group for the whole itinerary, answering questions as they came up rather than at a scheduled briefing, and treating the fiqh of the rites as something every traveller is owed, not an add-on. Too many people I’ve travelled with had booked a trip that left them working out the rites on their own, mid-Tawaf, because nobody was there to ask.
Qafilah is built around the parts of that experience worth keeping: a scholar who stays the whole trip, hotels close enough that time isn’t spent commuting to the Haram, and pricing that says plainly what it costs and why.
I built this around the trip I’d want for my own family.
